Being friends with awesome people - Motivational progress report

This is to say thank you to all the ambitious and awesome people I have the honor of being friends with. Seriously, you are the best. It is so nice to learn in an open-minded community that always helps each other out.
When I first started studying Japanese in 2018, I was so lucky to get to know my study buddy from Japan, who did not only help me with learning vocabularies, but also provided me with interesting stories and even delicious food. :)
Afterwards, I had the honor of being accepted to an online program of a Japanese university, which I liked to the extend that I stayed for over 4 semesters which added some additional courses to my curriculum that where eye-opening for me.
During this time, I joined a team of students who volunteered their time to present their culture to all the university students. I am forever grateful for the insight this gave me. And not only insight - also many great international friends who are always welcome to visit.
During this time, I started to take tutoring sessions at AT to lessen the language barrier with my Japanese friends. And it worked! Soon after I was able to attend meetings with only them, understanding about 70% when they where talking. It was amazing! They did not need to adjust to me anymore since I was finally able to understand them!
Whith this newly found knowledge I gathered the courage to apply as a member of a international conference originating in Japan; and guess what: I could help out with translating some phrases if needed! :D
I even got to make many more international friends and 2 of my Japanese conference buddies are interested in learning my mother tongue, which I am eager to help with.
I am so happy about meeting those wonderful people and plan on continuing my journey.
