I love to make a genuine connection with whoever I'm conversing with, even if our conversation is basic. Our lives are short, and it's important that we communicate what really matters. This is the best way to learn a language as well, because you don't get bogged down in grammatical exactitude, and the language really begins to take root in you. I like to use Tarot cards and discussion of your astrology, current events, whatever really matters to you personally, and make that what we study.
- Fluid conversation through sincerity and interest
- Self-empowerment through confidence building
- Development of effortlessness in speaking
- Subjects that interest you personally
- Texts that apply to your life
- Appreciation of different perspectives
I have learned to be open and attentive as a teacher, to listen as well as to speak, to make corrections when needed, but not so many as to disturb one's mental equilibrium. I also recognize the importance of building foundations in language - and this is done by repetition and mimicry, by reading and listening and learning phrases which are then digested and used freely in conjunction with one's own thoughts.
