Hello! My name is Rhuana and I'm from Recife, Brazil. I have a Languages degree (Portuguese and French) from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco - UFPE and I did a postgraduate course in Applied Linguistics to Portuguese Language Teaching in the FAFIRE. I also had the opportunity to study Didactics for Languages for six months in the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Paris. Since 2011, I work as a teacher of Portuguese (as first and foreign language) and French and I’ve had experiences in schools, language courses, online lessons… So I have a large experience teaching both of them and I had the opportunity to teach students with different levels, profiles and goals. My lessons are dynamic, fun and prepared according to the student's objective and interests. I love literature, cinema, TV series, music… I also love to travel, to know new cultures, new languages… Portuguese is my first language, but I also speak French, English and a bit of Spanish. - Beginner, intermediate and advanced Portuguese. - Conversation. - Preparation for exams. - Lessons prepared according to the specific objectives of the students. What will be present in the lessons? - listening, reading, writing and speaking; - grammar; - vocabulary; - pronunciation; - speech acts; - idiomatic expressions; - formal x informal language (according to the context); - Brazilian culture: music, literature, cinema, customs, traditional festivals, artistic and cultural movements; - Brazilian personalities; - geographical aspects of Brazil; - tourism in Brazil. * Material sent during the lessons. I use grids, based on the CEFR, which indicate what needs to be developed at each level (A1, A2…). Therefore, initially I need to identify the student's level and check if it is necessary to review or develop something from a previous level. However, according to the student's objective, the learning organization can be totally different. But, in all cases, my lessons are dynamic, fun and constantly explore students' linguistic practice, even at the most basic levels. Also, I believe that sociocultural aspects are extremely important in the process of learning a language, since it is, above all, social. Therefore, these aspects will be always present in our lessons.
